Ikorodu West LCDA Boss Gets LG Service Commission’s Commendations

-As Youth Leaders declare support for Council Chair’s re – election

The Lagos State Local Government Service Commission, under the Chairmanship of Alhaji Kamal Ayinde Bayewu, during the week, visited the Ikorodu West Local Council Development Area (LCDA) of Ikorodu Division area of Lagos State, Southwest, Nigeria, on a working visit.

Alhaji Bayewu and his team were welcomed by the Council boss, Hon. Sulaimon Kazeem Olanrewaju (SKO), and members of his administration.

In a statement by the Council Chairman’s Media Team, it stated that members of the commission conducted their oversight functions by assessing the functionality of the secretariat, welfare, and working conditions of the staff at the Council.

According to the council, Alhaji Bayewu, in his remarks, praised Hon. Sulaimon for the commendable projects underway at the Secretariat, expressing his belief that SKO deserves a second term to continue the rewarding work that will further improve the staff’s welfare and the delivery of the dividends of democracy.

Mrs. Adebogun, representing the Permanent Secretary, Lagos State Local Government Service Commission, commended the Council Chairman for his leadership and the Council’s new look, while also preciating the vibrant staff.

The Council boss, in his own response, expressed his gratitude for the visit and reiterated his commitment to staff welfare, and also highlighted the Council Manager’s dedication to her duties.

Also at the event, staff were advised to embrace a growth mindset and represent the local government well in all aspects, while the importance of dressing professionally by the staff, was also emphasised.

Council Manager, Mrs. Abdul Kareem, thanked the Local Government Service Commission and all attendees for their participation at the visitation.

She acknowledged the teamwork that made the day a success and wished everyone a safe journey home.

Meanwhile, the re – election of the Ikorodu West LCDA boss has a boost as the five Ward Youth Leaders endorsed him for another term.

According to the Chairman’s team, the strategic adoption happened when the youth leaders paid a courtesy visit to the secretariat also during the week.

He was adopted for re – election on the basis of his administration’s performance, and the fact that large number of his cabinet are youths.

“The hard work of Hon. Sulaimon Kazeem Olanrewanju, also known as SKO, has not gone unnoticed by the five Wards’ youth leaders and LGA youth leader in lkorodu West. They have come together to endorse him for a second term based on his impressive performance and dedication to the community”, the statement said.

“SKO’s transformative projects and commitment to the youths have earned him the support of the Wards’ youth leaders who have pledged to work with him in showcasing Ikorodu West to the world.

“With 90% of his cabinet made up of youths, SKO has shown his dedication to the younger generation and their future.

“The youth leaders are eager to contribute their ideas and efforts to the continued development of the Council, and they called on SKO to engage them in moving lkorodu West forward.

“Together, they are ready to make a positive impact on their community and support SKO’s vision for a better Ikorodu West”.
